PERRYSVILLE — Arthur Riley Ellis, 71, died Sunday at 2:40 a.m. in Perrysville. He had been ill three years. He was born Aug. 15, 1893, at Hoopston, Ill., to James and Mary Sellars Ellis. He was married to Faye Crowder Feb. 14, 1917. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ at Danville, Ill. He lived at Perrysville 25 years where he was a retired farmer. He had worked in the brickyards at Danville before moving to Perrysville. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Riley and James, both of Perrysville; a daughter, Mrs. Madaline Wilson of Rt. 1 Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Gorom of Darien Center, N.Y., and Mrs. Mayme Gorom of Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial will be in the Lower Mound Cemetery southwest of Covington. Rev. Dewey Findley will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
